Print PDF

In order to obtain a contractors license (in swimming pool and spa building) in NSW, the Office of Fair Trading requires that applicants hold a Certificate IV in Swimming Pool and Spa Building (CPC40808).

The White Book program is designed for those trades currently operating within the building and construction industry, whose skills and knowledge can be recorded and assessed against this qualification. The program contains short answer questions and assessment tasks that are based on a project involving the costing and estimating of a swimming pool or spa construction. The questions and tasks reflect the 18 units required to complete this qualification but are not limited to the units of competence listed in the adjacent table.

The participant is provided with relevant resources and access to an assessor five and a half days a week through phone and email. A number of informal tutorials conducted at the Master Builders offices throughout NSW enables the participant to make face to face contact with others completing the program. Onsite assessments may also be required.
