If so, the Building partners information sessions are for you! These FREE morning sessions have been designed to provide up to date information to people who support the building industry by running home building businesses on a day to day basis.
What will the sessions involve?
The 2 hour information sessions will involve a series of short talks by presenters from NSW Fair Trading, WorkCover NSW and private industry experts. Topics covered will include contract management, asset protection, insolvency, compliance, dispute resolution, home warranty insurance, home building licensing, WorkCover requirements and more.Information will also be provided about other Government agencies that interact with the building industry, for example NSW Industrial Relations, the Consumer Trader & Tenancy Tribunal and more. There will also be information available from industry associations.There will be plenty of opportunity for you to get involved, ask questions and discuss issues with other people in similar circumstances to your own. The sessions will be held in the morning, starting at 10am, with refreshments provided and babies in arms are more than welcome. Sorry, no childminding will be available.

No, these information sessions are free.
When and where will these sessions be held?
The first session, held on 18 November 2009 at the Burwood Function Centre, was fully booked out and a great success.

Are there any CPD points available for attending?
Yes. Did you know that partners and business associates of licensees can earn CPD points? It’s not just licence holders who can earn points – if you are a partner or family member involved in a building or pool building business, you can earn up to 4 CPD points per year by undertaking relevant education activities.
At the end of every two hour Building partners session each attendee receives a Certificate of Attendance, and this Certificate is worth two CPD points.
