NSW MASTER BUILDERS BOWLS CLUB
( Name change 26th March 1986 - Formerly Master Builder and Exchange Bowls Club 1923)
According to records, Sydney Master Builders played in a Bowls competition against Newcastle Master Builders in March 1916 at Newcastle. However it would appear that the Master Builders and Exchange Bowls Club was formed in 1923 when the James Wall Cup was first played, although there are no official records to verify this date.
Therefore 1923 is assumed to be the inaugural year of the Club.
On March 26th 1986, in view of changes of Grades of Membership (at this time Builders Exchange Members were classified as Members of the Association ) it was agreed that the Master Builders and Exchange Bowls Club would change its name to NSW Master Builders Bowls Club.
